Aprils fav' products!

I wanted to do a post about my favorite products. I am going to try and do this monthly.
So here are my month of April favorite products!
1. Coconut milk shampoo and conditioner. I paid $5.99 each for these and to me that is an okay price. hhaha! but I LOVE them my hair has never been so smooth and soft before.
2. St. Ives triple butter body wash in coconut milk. I paid $2.00 for this. I am in love with this. Since I have switched to this body wash My skin feels so much less dry.
3. St. Ives Even & bright pink lemon & mandarin orange scrub. I love this for my face. I use this every other day and I love the clean feeling it leaves. I believe I paid about $4 for this. I'm not to sure.
4.Jergens BB BODY perfection skin cream. This is the best! I use this on my face right when I get out the shower. Its not greasy and it comes in a skin tone color. (mine is light) so it also acts as a correctional cream. This is targeted for your body but doesn't say anything about face. &that's the only place I use it. I got this for free in my birchbox subscription. I will definitely be purchasing this again.
5. Satin care sensitive skin shaving gel. This was less than $2! Usually when I shave I use my tea tree oil soap because my skin is so sensitive. But this has been working great.
6. PINK warm & cozy body butter. I paid $12 for this. I love the smell & how nice this makes my skin feel..

Meal swap experience.

I have been so busy lately, STILL. and would like to apologize I really wanted to make sure I wrote on my blog every 1-2 days when I made this. But, things have came in the way! So, I am going to try my best. I also am going to be transferring some of my post to different categories so that way everything will be sorted out and no need to scroll all the way at the bottom to read something. I'm thinking food/recipes, beauty, baby, shopping/deals! But last week I completed my first meal swap and LOVED it. Basically, its a group of wives/girls who get together and swap meals that they have made. This was our first time doing it so we only had five woman doing it (including myself) and instead of making one meal we made two! I made cheesy stuffed shells, and cheesy rice and broccoli casserole with chicken. So I made five of each, one for myself and the others to swap. In return. I received chicken burritos, creamy chicken casserole, a chilli, lasagna, stuffed peppers, taco soup, and tater tot casserole! I have tried them all except the chilli and tater tot casserole so far! and they have all been yummy. The reason I love this is because I can just pop them in the oven I don't have to cook. Well, of course after I run out I will have to cook :( because our next one isn't till' may 4th but I think this is such a great idea and this is a big money saver as well. I didn't have to buy as much groceries this time. I'm so excited for our next one. I will be sure to post pics & recipes :)

Mama & Baby

Lately, I have been so busy & want to apologize for not posting anything in a few days. My blogis doing amazing. it has bee pushing about 100 page views a day and I couldn't do it without you guys :) Beside working, trying to enroll into a new college, cleaning my house, and spending time with my family I really haven't got time to cook anything, shop or write about anything. Actually I did just make a wonderful chicken pot pie but forgot to take a picture (shame on me) :) So I thought I would share my pregnancy/birth story:
My husband Kevin & I were living in Guam when we found out that I was pregnant.
-He is in the navy if I didn't mention that already!
We got married April 23, 2012 & I found out about a week later.
I took a pregnancy test NOT because I felt sick but because I WANTED a baby.
Everything was normal, I was feeling fine and was even having my period.
When I came home and brought a pregnancy test and it came out POSITIVE we were thrilled.
Right away, I knew it was a girl and started buying clothing.
(kevin wanted a boy, of course)
Original due date: February 1st, 2013
Then they changed it too: January 31, 2013
My family was thrilled as well, but knew the wouldn't be able to see her because we would be in Guam until November of 2013
But we were lucky enough to get orders and moved in November of 2012
(flying twenty hours was the worst, the bathroom was my best friend)
I literally started having morning sickness two days after I found out I was pregnant & that lasted my whole first trimester.
We moved to North Chicago, Illinois which was GREAT because we are able to drive home a lot (Michigan is Both of our home)
On January 31st I started having contractions at Wal-Mart.
That evening I couldn't even lay down I was in pain so I went into the hospital and they broke my water the next morning.
I was in active labor for about 10 hours & Amelia was being so stubborn & wouldn't move down.
(I was at 9cm for amost 4 hours)
So the did a last minute C-section!

Mini Wal-Mart baby haul

Good evening to my blog readers! I should rather say goodnight, lol. I feel as if I am always posting a new blog when everyone is asleep. But the way my work schedule is this is really the only time I can. I am on day eight of working without any days off and my next day off wont be for a few more weeks :( But any free time that I have I love to spend with my baby, my husband, or SHOP. Even if it as Wal-Mart buying baby items or cleaning products. I love retail therapy and spending money! Today, I was able to pick up some much needed things that baby Milly needed. For my newly blog readers my "baby" just turned fourteen months on the 1st of this month. But she will always be my baby. I picked up Enfagrow stage three. I buy the pre-made ones because they come in a pack of four an she only gets half of one each day! I give her Efagrow because of the way it helps the babies brain grow plus all of the vitamins she is getting. I pick up some organic oatmeal cereal which Amelia loves. Today I actually made her Spinach and strawberry oatmeal ( I will be posting the recipe soon, so be on the look out for it) I picked up a new sippy cup & it's not like she needed anymore I believe she has over twenty but this one has Owls on it and I am obsessed with owls. I picked up 2 bowls that have lids. These were S2 I believe or less. And they are the parents choice brand which I usually don't gravitate towards but I love these ones in particular because they are wide. I also picked her up a "big girl" spoon and fork as I will be throwing all of her "baby" ones out soon. Moving on, I love Wal-Mart for their pajamas because Amelia is growing like a weed she is already in 18-24 month clothing And can fit in almost all 2t clothing (depending on the brand) I love these PJS because well, for one they have an owl on them, there 2 pieces which make it easier to change the diaper and to put on in the morning (Not a fan of the zip-up PJ's) & Amelia hates her feet being covered anyways. And there only $5 which is a great deal for a growing baby. I also picked up this romper its yellow and I love the pink flamingos. This also was only $5 and was on the bigger side so I bought it in size 24 months for the summer. I have been stocking up on dresses and rompers for Amelia this summer. I love them!

Whats in my diaper bag

So I wanted to do a "whats in my diaper bag" blog just to show you mommas what I have to have on me at all times. First off I want to start by saying I got my diaper bag at FAMILY DOLLAR for $7. Don't judge because I love it and just got it today, lol. (I love dollar store, dollar general & family dollar) hahah! But I was going to buy one just like this at Babies `R US today and it was $26. The reason why I love this bag is because Inside it is thermal; so it will keep all of her drinks nice and cold. Plus, it's really spacious inside and more comfortable to carry then a large diaper bag (what I was carrying since she was a newborn) Now that Milly is over the age of one, I feel like I can carry less stuff. I don't need five outfit changes, formula, and bottles. This diaper bag has two side pockets for bottles/sippy cups and two slots inside as well for bottles/sippy cups.
The products in my diaper bag:
1. Just an old make up case with baby Tylenol and teething tablets... You never know!
2. Gerber snack container filled with graham crackers. My baby loves to snack.
3. An extra outfit. Sometimes she has a spill or a messy diaper that got on her clothes.
4. Four size five pampers.
5. A wipe case filled with her organic wipes.
6. Her medicated rash cream incase she gets a yeast infection. This ointment will kill it right away.
7. Vaseline. I put this on after every diaper change just as a barrier.
8. Tea tree oil, if I notice she is getting a little red on the bottom.
9. The placemats that stick to the table at restaurants. You never know how dirty the table is and my baby is a messy eater.
10. A spoon in case we need it, lol.
11. Her cell phone toy, she likes to call people in the car.

Beauty must haves!

I wanted to do a post about my top ten beauty must haves! These include what I use daily and are must haves.
1. Coconut oil. By now you should no this is my FAVORITE. I use this mainly on my hair. Sometimes as a chapstick and lotion.
2. Tea tree oil soap. I have very sensitive skin and this is my all time favorite. I purchase this at vitamin world and I get three bars for S6. I use this on two areas. My face and my private area :)
3.Cetaphil. This is my go to face wash. I started using this when I was pregnant because I was breaking out. Since this, I have barely ever broke out. I usually rotate days between this and the tea tree oil soap. I believe this is around $7-8 from Wal-Mart.
4. Olay body soap. I love olay. I have dry skin and I feel like this hydrates my skin the most.
5. St Ives spray lotion. I love the spray lotions. They smell great and I can get all the hard to reach areas like my back. Purchased from Wal-Mart for $6 I believe.
6. Bare minerals make up. This is my all time favorite foundation. I don't use any other brand of foundation but bare minerals. I get the best maximum coverage with this. I believe I got this at ulta for $25.
7. Tresemme Leave in conditioner spray. This is my favorite leave in conditioner it leaves my hair smooth and smelling good. Purchased at Wal-Mart. Unsure of the cost.
8. Hot tools curling iron. I swear by this curling iron. This gives me the best curls EVER! I swear by gold curling irons. they work the best. Purchased at Ulta I think for $40-50
9.CHI- hair straightener. This is the only hair straightener that works best for my hair. It is the only one that I have found that gets the hottest. Purchased at ulta for $89
10. Urban decay eye shadow primer. When I am going to wear eye shadow I make sure I put this on first. It makes my eye shadow last longer and makes the color more vibrant. This was purchased at Ulta and I am unsure of the cost.
